Terms and Conditions

The following Terms and Conditions apply to all entries into The National Lottery’s ParalympicsGB Homecoming ballot (the “Ballot”). More information about the event taking place at the Utilita Arena, Birmingham (the “Venue”) on 12th September 2024 (the “Event”) is available on this microsite.

  1. The Ballot is offered by the British Paralympic Association whose registered address is: 101 New Cavendish St, London W1W 6XH (‘the Promoter”). The Prize will be provided by Allwyn Entertainment Ltd whose registered address is: Tolpits Lane, Watford WD18 9RN (“Allwyn”), who operates The National Lottery and who is a commercial partner of the Promoter.
  2. The Ballot is open to UK and Isle of Man residents aged 18 or over with the exception of employees of the Promoter, Allwyn and the Gambling Commission and their immediate families living at the same address.
  3. The entry period is 10:00 on 19th August to 23.59 on 28th August 2024 ("the Entry Period").
  4. How to enter. Any player who has a Valid Play (as defined further in this clause), and registers their details and their ticket number on the ParalympicsGB Homecoming Microsite (“the Site”) at paralympicsgbcomecoming.com during the Entry Period, will be entered into a draw to win a pair of tickets to the Event (“the Draw"). A “Valid Play” includes i) the purchase of any ticket for any Lotto, Euromillions, Set for Life, Thunderball, Lotto HotPicks or EuroMillions HotPicks draw taking place between 17th and 28th August inclusive; or (ii) a play of any National Lottery interactive instant win game between 17th and 28th August inclusive; or (iii) the purchase of any National Lottery scratchcard between 17th and 28th August inclusive.
  5. Entries are limited to one per person and must be from one email address only. Entries not complying with these Terms and Conditions will not be valid.
  6. The prize. The prize is up to four tickets to the Event (the “Prize”). There are 2,500 Prizes available to be won. The winners and their guests will need to arrange their own travel and, if required, accommodation; travel, accommodation and food are not included in the Prize. There is no cash alternative to a Prize. Further Prizes may become available to be won during the Entry Period – the Promoter may not be able to communicate this but clause 9 will apply.
  7. Winners with additional accessibility requirements (or winners with disabled guests or guests with additional accessibility requirements) can find out more about accessibility at the Venue here. If you have accessibility requirements then you can call the Accessibility Team at the Venue on 0800 640 5001 to notify them of such requirements. Whilst the Venue will try to ensure any requirements are considered in the allocation of seats, there is no guarantee that the requirements will be met.
  8. Free Entry Route: Players in Northern Ireland and the Isle of Man can enter the Draw via a free entry route during the Entry Period without purchasing a National Lottery game. Entries via this free entry route are also limited to one per person from one email address. To enter via the free entry route, simply tick the box on the registration page to confirm you are a resident of Northern Island or the Isle of Man. You may be required to provide proof of your address.
  9. The Draw. The Draw will take place on 29th August. The winners of Prizes will be the first 2,500 entries selected at random from all valid entries. If further Prizes have become available to be won (see clause 6) that number of additional entries will be selected at random from all valid entries during the Draw.
  10. The Promoter will notify winners by email at the email address registered on the Site on 29th August. The email will contain a link which the winner must click on by 11.59pm on 2nd September in order to claim the Prize. Winners can claim up to four tickets to the Event (at their option) – if a winner selects less than four tickets, the remaining tickets will become available for booking after the Entry Period closes (see clause 17). If the winner does not claim the Prize by 11.59pm on 2nd September or the winner is found not to have been entitled to win the Prize, the winner’s claim to the Prize will be forfeited and there will be no cash or other alternative. For the avoidance of doubt, the Prize shall be sent to the email address registered on the Site only, and will not be distributed to any other email address. If a winner subsequently cannot access the Prize due to any issue with the email address as registered on the Site, they must contact their email service provider.
  11. On clicking the link in the email to claim the Prize, the winner will be taken to the AXS website to obtain their ticket. Winners will be required to register with AXS (if they are not already registered) to access their tickets, and any use of personal data will be in accordance with AXS’s Privacy Policy (available here).
  12. Seats will be allocated on a 'best available' basis when you confirm your booking. There are some seats which have a restricted view – these will be allocated once all of the non-restricted view tickets have been allocated and you will be notified at the time of booking if this is the case.
  13. Winners will be required to show their tickets on their smartphone in order to enter the Event.
  14. Ticket transfer. A winner may give one or both tickets to someone else; this can only be done via the app if the winner has already clicked the link to claim the Prize in the email from the Promoter. The recipient of the ticket must be aged 18 or over. If the pair of tickets is gifted to one such recipient, the recipient may take a guest aged under 18 if they wish to. Event tickets won in this Ballot cannot be sold. Once a ticket is passed on, it will no longer be accessible by the original winner. A recipient is not able to request an e-ticket.
  15. It is the winner’s (and any recipient’s) responsibility to ensure the safekeeping of their ticket. In the event that a ticket is presented more than once at the Event, only the first ticket presented will be granted admission into the Event.
  16. Cancellation. If a winner is no longer able to attend the Event after downloading the Prize, they must contact AXS here so that their tickets can be cancelled and be re-distributed.
  17. Unclaimed Prizes. The Promoter reserves the right to make any Prizes that are unclaimed (for any reason and including Prizes rejected or returned by a winner) available to certain or all National Lottery players at a date after the Entry Period ends, on a first come first served basis. How the Promoter will communicate this will be at the Promoter’s discretion.
  18. Winners acknowledge that the taking of their Prize is also subject to any terms and conditions and health and safety requirements of Venue.
  19. This Ballot is not a game forming part of The National Lottery.
  20. Filming and Photography. The Event may be filmed and televised. Accordingly, by entering this Ballot, You agree to the BPA and Allwyn (and its related entities if applicable) using your name, image, likeness, sounds in any audio, video, or photographic display or other transmission, exhibition, publication or reproduction made of, or at, the Event (regardless of whether before, during or after play or performance) for any purpose, in any manner, in any medium now known or hereafter developed, without further authorisation from, or compensation to, you or anyone acting on your behalf.
  21. The Promoter shall have no liability for any system failure or other action or event which prevents a player from entering the Ballot.
  22. The Promoter accepts no liability or responsibility of any nature in relation to the Prize or in respect of any complaints regarding the Prize or the consequences of taking the Prize to the extent permitted by law.
  23. In addition, no responsibility is accepted by the Promoter for Prizes lost, delayed or damaged in transmission. The Promoter makes no warranty of any nature in respect of the Prize.
  24. Winners may be asked, but are not obliged, to take part in publicity.
  25. These Terms and Conditions shall prevail over any inconsistent terms or conditions relating to the Ballot contained in or referred to in any other document’.
  26. No correspondence will be entered into. The Promoter’s decision is final.
  27. The Promoter reserves the right to cancel this Ballot or to vary the Ballot or these Terms and Conditions at any time by giving notice on the Site.
  28. All personal data of entrants, winners and their guests will be processed by the Promoter and any necessary third-party providers, including Corporate Innovations Group who are responsible for conducting the Draw and notifying winners, in accordance with their respective privacy policies. Save for the exception above and unless you have opted-in to receive future marketing communications from the Promoter, your personal data will not be passed to any third party unless required to do so by law or an appropriate regulatory authority.
  29. By entering this Ballot, you will be given the opportunity to opt-in to receive information and offers from the Promoter. If you do opt-in to such communications, you will be given the opportunity to unsubscribe at any time.
  30. The Ballot is governed by English law and entrants submit to the jurisdiction of the English courts.
